Ali and Jamie, being the hardcore runners that they are, have already signed up for the full! I am less confident in my ability to run 30km in less than 4 months, seeing as the furthest I've ever run is 10K! But I put an Around the Bay Training plan together and have been sticking with it so far. More than that, I've really been enjoying the training. I've even noticed time and speed improvements, albeit small ones, and my ability to just keep running when I want to stop is also much better.
I sure do wish I could get my legs to look like this! source |
Now if only Runner's World would bring back their "What to Wear" page, I'd be golden! It was my saving grace in figuring out what clothes work best for me in the changing weather.
Oooooh I am so sorry. I always forget to visit your blog. However, in my defense that's because you hardly update :P lol
ReplyDeleteI think you SMOKED the santa shuffle. I didn't even time myself - I went with what colin's timer said :P and what we adjusted with the slightly over distance. You were awesome and have gotten SOOOO much faster. scotia was flat and the weather was good, SS was snowy and hilly :) you are fast lady! stop doubting yourself.
Oh and there's no pressure to run ATB but I seriously believe we can do it and just have fun! I think I might even do 10 X 1's ;)
You are doing great! I also believe that you can do ATB!
ReplyDeleteHow's the atb going? I ran the Toronto waterfront half, the rain was a killer for me. I got a great app for training the 26.2 for pink, after 3 months off its perfect for starting over.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with training!
I hit a few Training hiccups in December (i.e. I didn't run much at all) and I'm feeling really far behind in my training now. What app are you using for your training?
